• A magnificent find!! ( please see my other textiles for the matching curtain  ~) 1890~*~ A GORGEOUS and large textile ! This valance was once part of a bedding set and used to adorn the side of what was, certainly a magnificent bed! The top is stiffened with a woven jute. for hanging. ~ Wonderful heavy weight , twill weave cotton ! It is HUGE and wonderful. The tone of the ground is a pale yellow and the other colors include : turquoise, corals, pinks, reds, neutral tones. GORGEOUS   ( PR 701) 

MEASUREMENTS : This panel  measures approximately 98 inches wide by 33 inches long at the side edge and the central scallop is approx. 27 inches long ~*~ 

CONDITION: This textile is in gorgeous, unwashed condition with light storage dust. The trim has lost some  of the pom poms . There is a pale gray " foxing" ( pale pepper marks ) on the ground of this fabric in places, so it has a genuinely aged look .
