I had the beautiful Blue Sapphire winding crown checked by a jeweler and YES THE SAPHIRE IS REAL. This early watch is all original and triple signed: case, dial, and movement.
DIAL: Signed: GRUEN . This dial has black hour numbers and blued steel MOON hands.
CASE: The 3-piece cushion watch case has a fancy Art Deco design on the top and sides. Caseback has NO personal engraving and NO wear through spots. Signed: GRUEN 14K GOLD REINFORCED WITH METAL Wadsworth 1010338 179 1 .
SIZE: 27.5mm lug-to-lug. 24mm across without the crown. 27mm across with the winding crown.

CONDITION: This watch does not run. Needs adjusted because when you try to wind it, the hands move. The balance is good and swings free. Needs cleaned and repaired as it has been sitting for a very long time.
