BLUE WIRES & NO Rear Axle Bracket

For this listing we offer one (1) original 1960's Strombecker Scorcher 7 Motor with Blue Wires and WITHOUT Rear Axle Bracket.

This New Old Stock In-Line Scorcher 7 Motor (with Factory Epoxied 7 Pole Armature) does 38,000 RPM.

I think that the different Different Wire Colors: Red & Green, Green, Red, and Blue  may indicate different Volts: 3 volt, 6 volt, 8 volt and 12 volt.  I have spent hours on the web and looking into vintage catalogs and slot car magazines and can not definitely state this as a fact. So I am selling each color separately.

Vintage 1960's Strombecker "Scorcher" 7 Motor - 7 Pole Armature - 12 Volt Rating - Integral rear axle bracket is designed for Inline motor application - Ideal motor for vintage Formula One, Indy Car or other open wheel racer - 0.091" (2.3mm) Diameter shaft

Vintage Original 1960's Ads States: "Same as the Avenger and Scuttler, however the Scorcher has a 7 pole epoxies armature.  Scorcher has smoother performance!  Newest , Hottest,  "Fastest Motor Built Today"  Here is the dream motor that slot racers have been looking for...  Have been asking for... have needed since Day One!  Only the Scorcher has a bearing arm designed to retain the ball bearing adapter or extra oilite bearings!  Only the Scorcher gives you an extra heavy-duty magnet,  more windings in the motor,  and a roaring 38,000 RPM!"

Strombecker know-how and experience starts when the rubber meets the road!

Strombecker scale model racers are precision-built operating model, designed for high-speed, authentic-action electric track racing. Most cars/kits have been designed to snap together, with a minimum of glue needed.

In real racing, as in model racing, every element, no matter how small, is important.  That's why we pay extra-close attention to the precision parts that go on our model road racers...from the body shells right down to the wheels.  Ever since we pioneered the model road racing business with our first complete set back in '59, we've taken our lead from the latest ideas in actual, full-size car components.  Take wheels, for example.  Strombecker wheels duplicate the wheels on Ferrari, Jaguars, Coopers and other famous racing cars.  And as for Competition Wheels--deluxe chrome, mag, dragster--we've got 'em all, and all the caps, nuts, knock-offs and inserts that go with them.

My Dad owned a Hobby Shop that closed in the early 1970's, and he kept some of the more interesting slot cars and accessories from that era.  The items I am listing are in most cases, near new or gently used.  I have taken many pictures to show every angle and have tried to describe all features and/or flaws to the best of my ability.  Please email with any questions specific to something I may have missed. Please check my other listings as I will be selling many cars, accessories and track in all three scales-- HO, 1/32nd, and 1/24th.  If you don't see the car or part you are looking for, please email me.  If I have it, I will list it for you.  Many of the items in my inventory  are  NEW OLD STOCK.
