You are bidding for a video record of the long discarded 16mm film described below.   When the films  were  made they  provided a unique insight into its particular subject.  Over the last thirty years a number of enthusiasts realised that such films provided an untapped source of information on past techniques and methods At some time in the past they  would have been rescued after being discarded as obsolete by the original owners .

Any money raised from the sale of this video will go towards offsetting the costs of more rescues.

1057  Mainly construction plant filmed at work throughout Europe and the US.  There are so many different items of plant featured that some of them are fairly fleeting but the final result is that in just over a hour you see more plants at work and in more different locations that even the most experiences  operator will have seen.

It’s a 360 degree digger Loading into dumpers. Dull sort of film as it consist of long continuous shot so that you could time it is necessary. . Machine is labelled Stokey. It may be a dull film but he is loading an awful lot of limestone into a variety of dumpers.   When he is not loading he is knocking down  the cliff .

Now to Blackwell where they are using the machine in a slightly different way as it is above to lorry it is loading and the bucket is the other way round.  Finer material.

 

Bennie’s machine is in a quarry  again working from the loading point which is the input of a crsher grader.  A much older machine is shown disused it look like a dragline  15 minutes Colour silent.
