Before I began writing chamber music and printing it with the Finale music writing program, I was writing songs and penning them on staff paper.  Well, I have begun to review them, and decided to enter some of them on Finale and get them ready to share with anyone who might like to use them.  This song, My Mansion, was written at a time that I was experiencing frustration at not being able to do enough music...and music was what I was born to do.  Life got so busy that I lamented not being able to progress in my musical pursuits.  But I knew I had a future in music, even if it was not in this life.  SO, that sounds like a serious subject, but in fact, the song is rather funny, and a bit tongue in cheek.  In my next life, I will have a mansion...remember, Jesus promised this for those who were faithful...and I am requesting my mansion to be a music mansion so that I might finally have my musical life.  This would be a cute song for a folk or gospel singer to entertain listeners at an open mike night or some such casual venue.  It opens with a suggested fiddle lick, but you can skip it if you want to.  The song comes with the notes and lyrics, and chords above the notes.  It can be sung solo strumming a guitar, or with a group that can do some background, as the chords are a basic blue grass chordal pattern.  The song will come spiral bound in hard stock paper covers, and signed by me, the composer.  Shipping is $3.50 first class in a large envelope.  Overseas, please contact me for current shipping price.  Please take a look at my other pieces.  Let me know if you want several, as I can combine shipping.  Thanks for looking!  Have a great musical life!  I plan to!
