Typically these are used on 3/8" or 10mm Axle Rear Freewheel Hubs, The spacer is used to give you the distance needed for a multi speed freewheel and for helping you lace and dish the wheel properly. Multi Speed Freewheels were used on some new bikes, but mostly Vintage Multi Speed Freewheel Hubs like used on Vintage Schwinn bikes. Spacer can also come in handy for Custom Axle spacing applications. We offer 2 size spacers with your Choice from the pull down Menu. I will give you approximate dimensions but unsure of the production tolerances, please use this for reference, should be good for most all applications but unsure it will meet aerospace tolerances. LOL.
The Larger -The Spacer is 5/8" or 16mm long, it has a ID of 13/32" or 10.3mm and a OD of 19/32" or 15mm. This is the most common size used for multi speed freewheel hub spacing.
The Smaller - The Spacer is 17/64" or 7mm long, it has a ID of 13/32" or 10.3mm and a OD of 19/32" or 15mm. Can use multiples and or good for custom spacing.
