On offer, we have a magnificent miniature of created by English artists Susan Rogers and Kevin Mulvany. This framed top box is titled on the brass plate "Mid 18th Century Bed Chamber Sans Souci (Chinese)". The back has the hand written label "3/50 Mulvany & Rogers Limited Edition Elevations - Mid-eighteenth century boudoir wall based on the Chinese Bed Chamber at Sans Souci, Potsdam" signed by both artists.
This measures 18 1/4" X 13 1/2" X 2 1/2" and weighs 5 pounds 9.5 ounces. The well constructed glass front top lifts off by lifting the back side supports.
This comes from the estate of Jacqueline McMahan, an avid collector of miniatures and co-founder of Angel's Attic in Santa Monica, CA.. Angel's Attic is a popular museum of dolls and miniatures that has been benefiting Autism for almost 35 years.
You may learn more about the artists both online and in their highly rated book "Magnificent Miniatures: Inspiration And Technique For Grand Houses On A Small Scale".
I believe this is in excellent condition. The sides of the black box have a few scratches. While I lifted off the top for some of your photographs, this is in it's original condition. Any dust or fingerprints inside remain there. Please view my photographs for more description.
I will be happy to answer any questions and/or send more photographs.
