This is for a early antique day or night Navy mahogany 2 drawer brass telescope C1805.It is free of any splits,dents,tears,cracks,repair or restoration.The lens is clear & has good magnification,the end brass draw to the eye piece is a loose fit.The lens at both ends are screw mounted.
This is a local piece but there are no makers marks but there is a name inscribed on the brass shutter C.W.Cowd,then another name that I cannot identify and underneath this is inscribed Devon.
The telescope measures just over 27" in length when fully extended,just over 10 1/2" in length when closed and 2" in diameter at it's widest point.
