3 LINCOLN VIGNETTE ESSAY ON INDIA SUNK ON Large Stock Tobacco Stamp Essay, not sure but info online states these left facing Lincoln's were for a Revenue Tobacco stamp ? The first is sunk on large 9x12 card stock using what appears to be India paper, the sunk in area is approx 2 3/4" by 3", the other 2 are raised images on approx 4 3/4" by 5 1/8" sheets, with the raised area approx 1 1/8" by 1 1/4". One of the smaller sheets show a watermark of WHITING.
All in good shape for age, the large piece has some foxing spots outside the main image & sunk area. See photos...
