Rare antique Sessions race horse mantel clock. Wooden clock with metal overlay (non-magnetic, probably brass or aluminum) depicting two jockeys on horses inside a stirrup shape. The leather strap that goes over the top is supposed to have a buckle on each side, and one is missing. Wood has assorted scratches, but is solid and would refinish nicely, if desired. The knob that sets the time pulls out, and it has a tendency to come off, as it's worn and no longer tight on the shaft. Clock stands about a foot tall, face is about 4" across.
I have had this clock for many years, and after being stored for many years, I opened up the back, gave it a spin, and it took off running. It probably still needs a cleaning to ensure that it keeps good time. Great collectible - in all my years of picking and prowling antique stores, junk stores, and estate sales, I have never seen another one.
