Welcome to ANTIQUES & MOORE!

This listing is for a lovely Sterling Silver low pedestal base bowl made by the Tuttle Silversmiths, c. 1961. The bowl has a beautifully fluted border with scalloped rim and low pedestal base. Marked with the Tuttle trademark stamp and "Sterling, 8, Exemplar, Paul de Lamerie, London, 1712" with the presidential date code for the first year of the administration of John F. Kennedy (1961-1963) which would make the bowl date to 1961. The Tuttle Silversmiths started business in Boston MA in 1890 and is now a division of Wallace. Tuttle began using the presidential date codes at the beginning of the Calvin Coolidge administration and continued through the Clinton administration and are possibly still using this system today.

Measures 1 1/2" high and 5 1/4" in diameter. Weighs 135 grams.

This nice silver bowl is in very good to excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws although there are minor surface scratches on the interior from normal wear.
