  STUNNING ~ one of my favorite printed toile designs! This beautiful textile was printed in Alsace and dates c1830. Wonderful bird design!!! This textile was once part of a bed set and is a gorgeous, backed valance. The printed fabric has a lovely return on the back! This textile is 100% hand stitched and lightly hand quilted with a very thin layer of batting between the layers ~ the tone has aged to the most wonderful pinky red! ~*~ Lovely muted raspberry tones. The backing is a very finely woven cotton and there are lovely hooks for hanging, hand stitched to the top. I'm not certain if these are original to the textile! ~ This textile is hand stitched at the sides ~ beautiful used as a hanging ~*~ ~*~ Dramatic and wonderful ~*~  ~*~ ( please see my other textiles for more matching pieces to the set) ( toile 420)

MEASUREMENTS : The wonderful antique French toile measures : 68 inches wide by 24 inches drop at the longest point ~*~ 

CONDITION: Freshly laundered and ready to use .  There are 3 small holes on the front of this piece, surrounded by rust ~ This textile has some tiny rust marks on the front and some small pale marks that I'm certain won't wash. the backing has marks also, that I'm certain won't wash. ( please use the zoom feature to view condition closely ). There is some damage to the top right corner and some small damage to the top edge as well.  ~*~
