This wonderful bolt is French and dates from the c 1940's  ~ I've never seen another like it! Very very heavy weight , densely woven cotton , this fabric weighs nearly TWO POUNDS per yard!!~ This bolt was found in unused, unwashed condition and there are age marks dotted all around each yard! ~As long as you don't mind washing this fabric, you'll be very pleased I'm sure ~*~  It was stored folded in half and there the fabric was folded on one side there are age marks down the crease in particular! I've washed one yard that was the most dirty and they came out beautifully. I washed the fabric on hot with Oxyclean and normal detergent and it came out beautifully. There were still some pale bluish stains on the side edges ( please see photographs) I can't be sure that each yard will wash perfect for sure, so this fabric should be purchased for such projects where the little flaws can be used or cut around! ~ Pillows, small upholstery projects etc! ~*~ The fabric was most likely intended to be used for making very heavy weight clothing ~~*~  ( bolt 3F)
