An amazing textile, doesn't really speaks for itself , it's just THAT charming ~*~ ( but I'll off the boring bit, the words, anyway! ~*~ )  ~*~ This textile is an antique French valance that uses printed cotton that was printed c1860 and this textile was re-worked into this valance perhaps in the early 1900's ~ the fabric is some of the most beautifully printed daylily designs ~ stunning pink and gray!!! ~ the ground of this valance has many wonderful wonderful age marks, pale and truly gorgeous, giving this textile that wonderful aged charm that only time can!! The top is gathered and the bottom has a lace trim that extends along the edge the entire length. This textile would be superb used as a curtain valance, with white linen curtains! ~ Lovely as a hanging , under the sink ruffle topper ~ you name it. It is remarkable, and 10 times better than any photograph can show . The cotton is a light weight cotton ~ ~*~  ~ ! ~ ~ ~*~ ( panel 12)

MEASUREMENTS: This textile measures 84 inches long by 92 inches wide at the top, where it is gathered.  The bottom, where it is not gathered, if laid straight would measure 158 inches long ( so could be ungathered and use as a bed ruffle!! ~) the drop is 15 inches ( including the 2 inch lace trim)

CONDITION: This beautiful textile is freshly laundered with pale age marks throughout the length. There are some some sections where the lace trim will need to be sewn back to the valance and there are some small holes in the lace also. ( please see photographs) Near the middle, there are pale pink bleeds, perhaps this textile was stored with red or pink something! This textile is very much all about the aged ground, so the small age marks , in my opinion, add so much charm!! However, this textile isn't right for someone looking for a perfect condition fabric, ideal for any timeworn interior ~*~ ~ ~  ~
