This listing is for an adorable French bronze cat figurine/sculpture mounted on blackish-green marble base, signed E. Fremiet. The sculpture features a mother cat seated upon an oriental carpet and is nursing a small kitten. On the rug In front of the kitten is a rolled ball of yarn. The bronze has nice details and naturally aged patina. Bronze was made by noted French sculpture Emmanuel Fremiet (1825-1910). The signature is found in the fringe of the rug in front of cat's right front paw.

Sculpture measures 4 1/2" high (including base), 3 3/4" high (bronze only) with oval stand measuring 6 5/8" long and 5" wide. Weighs 3.14 pounds. 

This nice sculpture is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws.
