FRM220-NMC card provides full remote management of the FRM220-CH20
chassis. FRM220-NMC has a built-in console serial port and supports
telnet, SNMP, web-based, in-band TS-1000 and 802.3ah compatible
management.
The FRM220-NMC also knows stacking, one card can
manage 8 FRM220-CH20 stacked chassis. Any of the FRM220 converters,
FRM220-10-100I Fast Ethernet series, FRM220-1000EAS Gigabit series,
FRM220-Serial cards or FRM220-FXO-FXS media converters can be managed by
the FRM220-NMC card, either in the chassis or as remote converters.
Besides traditional parameters of media converters, the FRM220-NMC card
allows also control of bandwidth on both copper on fiber ports for the
Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet converter series.
Description of the whole FRM220 chassis system
FRM220-CH20 is a 20 slot chassis for fiber optic media converters. Any FRM220 series media converter can be inserted in an FRM220-CH20 chassis. All FRM220 series media converters sold by sales_fo4all on eBay support the FRM220-CH20 chassis installation by simple metal cover removing and sliding the card converters into the main chassis. Currently supported line cards include Ethernet to fiber converters for
10/100Base-TX, or 10/100/1000Base-TX over multimode fiber (up to 2 km),
single mode fiber (up to 120 km) or utilizing WDM (up to 40 km). WDM
(Wave Division Multiplexing) converts each input-output data stream
into separate wavelengths of light and transmits/receives these
channels through the same optical fiber. There is alos a good selection of 10G rate transponder cards. Besides, FRM220 line cards can
also support G.703 E1/T1, Datacom (V35, X.21, RS530/ 449/ 232) and
Serial (RS485/ 422/ 232) data communication interfaces over fiber.
