Here is handsome Scottish Table or Fish Slice in the popular Fiddle and Thread pattern made by the famous Edinburgh silversmiths, Walter and Patrick Cunningham.


This substantial Table Slice was made in 1805 in fully hallmarked Scottish Sterling Silver.
Originally made as a fish slice, it is now also useful for serving entrees, pie, cheesecake or pastries.



The blade of the Table Slice has an intricate pierced “flame” pattern.


There are two lovely scroll initials “CB” engraved on the front of the handle.


The Table Slice is overall in excellent condition, with only some light normal wear consistent with its age and usage – see photographs.

The Table Slice is eleven and three quarter inches long (11.75 ins / 30 cms) and weighs over four ounces (4.2 ounces / 117 grams) of hallmarked sterling silver.
This handsome Table Slice is in excellent condition and has a lovely soft patina.


The hallmarks shown above are the makers’ mark “WPC” for the famous silversmith, Walter and Patrick Cunningham, the castle town mark for Edinburgh, the thistle guarantee mark for Scottish Sterling Silver, the letter “Z” date letter for 1805 and the duty mark the head of King George the Fourth.
