Joe Johnston directs this action adventure starring Bill Campbell and Jennifer Connelly. Set in Los Angeles in 1938, the film follows racing pilot Cliff Secord (Campbell) as he stumbles across a one-man jetpack that has been stashed by a gangster fleeing from the FBI. Using the jetpack to save a distressed plane, he becomes something of a superhero. But there are others who want the futuristic machine, chief among them is duplicitous movie star Neville Sinclair (Timothy Dalton) who is in reality spying for the Nazis.
