This is a new old stock American Motors or Kaiser Jeep tailgate handle or door handle. I dont know what this will fit, but possibly Jeep Commando or Wagoneer. It does not have a lock or key hole. The shaft on the back measures 2 3/8 inches long. The chrome looks new with no pitting. I am guessing this is from the 1960s or 1970s. It is from an old AMC Jeep dealer's stock. May possibly fit Rambler station wagons.
