ARTIST: VINTAGE DESERT LANDSCAPE SPRING IN BLOOM CALIFORNIA PLEIN AIR IMPRESSIONISM OIL. Beautiful luminous desert oil painting, similar to the work of Herbert Sartelle, Frank Montague Moore (F.M. Moore) ??, or other early California desert and landscape painters, or mid Century impressionist painters from California. Does not appear to be signed -mystery artist, further research is needed. Circa 1940's late 40's to 1950's 50's period based on the frame and overall age (see photos). Oil on canvas. Appears to be signed "Moore" on edge of canvas panel, and was framed in New York (see photos).
May be the work of listed California CA painter "F.M. Moore"...further research is needed but may be Frank Montague Moore ?? who was active/lived in California, New York / United
Kingdom. Listed: Askart. Frank Moore is known for coastal-town landscape easel and
mural painting. Similar painting style with wildflowers and blooming flowers, similar floral brush work and loose colorful style. This work also has the New York stamp on frame and "Moore" on stretcher bar (see photos).
SIZE: aprox. 22x29 framed, aprox. 18x25 unframed
MEDIUM: oil on canvas
CONDITION: In good vintage condition, frame has some wear to edges due to age. Appears to be all original components from the period, as found.
