THIS LISTING IS FOR A LOVELY ANTIQUE DEEP PLATE OR SHALLOW BOWL, c. 1890's. THIS NICE PLATE HAS BEAUTIFUL COMPLIMENTARY COLORS FEATURING A BROWN TEXTURED OUTER EDGE WITH PINK FLOWERS BORDERING A WHITE INTERIOR FORMED IN SIX PANELS THAT ALTERNATE WITH A BASKET WEAVE AND GREEK-KEY BACKGROUND. THE CENTER DESIGN FEATURES YELLOW FLOWERS AND BROWN BRANCHES HOLDING PINK FLOWERS WITH GREEN FOLIAGE. THE BACK OF THE PLATE IS A NATURAL CREAM COLOR. PLATE IS UNMARKED, HOWEVER, IT IS GUARANTEED TO BE AN ANTIQUE AND AS DESCRIBED. THIS DESIGN IS ILLUSTRATED ON PAGE 62 OF THE BOOK "MAJOLICA" BY MIKE SCHNEIDER.

MEASURES 7 7/8" IN DIAMETER AND STANDS 1 1/4" HIGH. WEIGHS 15 OUNCES.

THIS NICE PLATE IS IN VERY GOOD ESTATE CONDITION WITH CRISP COLOR AND GLAZE. THERE IS SOME FAINT STAINING ON THE WHITE BACKGROUND ON THE FRONT OF PLATE AND A MINOR CRACK ON THE FOOT RING OF THE BASE (NOT VISIBLE FROM THE FRONT AND IS STRUCTURALLY STRONG).
