Welcome to Antiques & Moore!

This listing is for a gorgeous late 19th-early 20th Century silver plated bride's basket/vase. This unusual basket has elaborate all-over chased and embossed decoration with medallions featuring a Dutch type design with people, two having a windmill in the background, flower bouquets. Each medallion has a deeply embossed surrounding design with the borders and handle being beautifully decorated. This basket has the appearance of being a Continental or Dutch creation, however, it is marked with the American trademark stamp of the Queen City Silver Co. in business in Cincinnati OH from 1897-1949.

Measures 15 3/4" high (at handle), 9 1/4" high (at side of basket) with the oval opening being 8 1/2" wide and 5 1/4" deep. Weighs 1.8 pounds.

The basket is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws. The basket polishes beautifully and would be stunning filled with rose petals and carried by a young flower girl at any wedding.
