This differs from the XK120 design bar as it has a loop to go over the boot chrome spine.

This is the bar that is glued into the rear of the roadster (mohair) hood.

The batwing projection should be filed from the top face to match your chrome teardrop locator on the tonneau, and lie flat.

Then an anti-rust coating should be applied to it for long life.

Originals were flash chromed, but there are more corrosion resistant paints that will not allow rust to bleed through your pretty hood material once it gets wet.
