Very scarce edition of 1782 published anonymously of the famous novel written by the young jacobite Jean Jacques Rutledge (1742-1794) or Sir James Rutledge.
The work was published for the first time in 1776 as "La quinzaine angloise a Paris ou l'art de se ruiner en peu de temps" and translated the year after as "The englishman's fortnight in Paris". The novel is a real critic to french society in that time. It describes the decadence of a young english aristocrat who arrived in Paris and ends his days in jail for debt.
This edition is published in London with no indication of editor and is titled "Premier et second voyages de Milord de...".
It is made up of three tomes and it is complete.
