• ~*~Hello and Welcome to the Textile Trunk!~*~

~A gorgeous hand woven tapestry piece dating from the early 19th century or maybe even 18th century. Please note that I have 2 very similar seat covers that I am selling here separately, and I have included photos of each above.  Gorgeous muted tones!!  ~This tapestry piece was woven using wool, silk and cotton. Stunning natural dyes!  There are blue, yellow, pink, green and neutral tones on a neutral, natural beige toned ground. This textile would have covered the back or seat of a chair! ~ Beautiful textile ( please see my other textiles for similar panels )  ~*~  ~*~  ~( FF408 )

MEASUREMENTS : This stunning piece measures approximately 18-29 inches wide by 26 inches long, please note the odd shape!

CONDITION : This panel is in as found, not freshly laundered condition with storage dust. Please note that I have 2 very similar seat covers that I am selling here separately, so the pattern and condition varies slightly for each, please see photos.  These textiles have faded with time.  There are many small spots of wool loss (voids in the pattern), easiest to see when this is held to the light.  The edges are uneven from where this was removed from a chair.  This textile is not perfect, but perfectly lovely and ideal for any period home. Please use the zoom feature to view condition closely. ~
