RARE VINTAGE mid 1980s .17 fl.oz 5ml

One of the most beautiful 1980s bottles I have ever listed, not quite as potent as the 1960s formula, but quite heartbreakingly beautiful, with 9cmx7cmx2cm (3.6"x 2.6"x.6" ) shallow box & pouch, not mint condition box thanks to an oval peel at the base where the original seal was removed & yet has its fabulous information products sheet

Designed specifically to be hidden away in a purse or evening pocket, this a 5cm x 3.4cm (2"x1.4") tall screw topped purse flacon & the box, though badly marked, it even has its original griege & gold leaf strewn pouch.  

This reeks of an age long gone, a rich, overblow, magical layer-cake of scent.  Layers of spice, rose & musk, all balancing on top of a decadent powdery base (& reminds me so much of my beloved priceless first formula Guerlain L'heuer Bleue).  

I once read that the original possessed over 300 natural ingredients & also had a hefty dash of Ambergris , though it is not politically correct to mention such things in these days of the IFRA stranglehold on the perfume industry. The parfum somehow sits close to the skin, & then, out of the blue it leaps at you to remind you that it is there. A shocking glorious all singing and dancing parfum, of a type never to be repeated again
