This is a rare and early French red cross Nurse Doll. With her base included she is about 15 inches tall. She has an open mouth with teeth and she is all original. I did wash her apron but did not try and take her clothes off to wash them as they have no hooks or snaps. She has leather or Kid arms with mitten hands. Her lower legs are also kid with her shoes decorated with bows are attached to the base. There is a metal rod that is attached to her cloth torso under goes under her underclothes and the thin rod fit in a small hole in the base. I find that she has to be just right in position to stand up straight other wise she will lean a little to the left. Her bisque is perfect. She has the original set eyes and mohair wig. She has layers of underclothes. and her body that is not leather is covered with silken cloth. Her cloak is a dark navy blue and she reminds me of Clara Barton the red cross nurse. The under part of her base is covered with a red cloth and it does have printing but I cannot read it. She is only marked with a number. She is an antique and from the later 1800s. She is very rare and unique. please look at the pictures
