For the sea transportation, the first shipments arrived at  the port in Bangkok. Later heavily  attacked by the Allies, next delivery bypassed  Singapore then transported to Bangkok by train. In one shipment, the train arrived to Ta Chang station at Surattani, some of the banknotes were stolen. 5 Baht, 10 Baht, 20 Baht and 100 Baht banknotes were pushed by feet from the train. Some of the stolen notes were found in circulation with a forged signature. The Ministry of Finance announced on '24th August 1946' that those notes were illegal. (Minister Leng's signature printed and over stamped with 50 satang at Ta Chang). The lowest denomination. Anyone with a ten baht that could show evidence of honesty would be given the full ten Baht if it was not over stamped. So those illegal notes were so-called Thai Tip (Pushed by Thai's feet.) The thieves cut the sheets of banknotes so it is rare to find ones of the exact same size. I am not aware if this effects the grading system. The banknote you will receive is the third picture provided. Refer to all data available before you purchase.50  Rama VIII "Thai Thief" Overprint on 10 Baht Series 5 Satang Number:

Thailand has harsh penalties for counterfeiting: Life imprisonment and a 40,000 Baht fine. The Thai Government also had secret codes added to every banknote. When you purchase a banknote from S. C. M. Store, will point out what and where the code is on each one.

The only ones that do not have the secret code are the banknotes the British Government printed during WWII and put into circulation without informing the Thai Government. Free Siam banknotes. Do not worry we supply the specific code for your banknote.  (Free Siam notes are highly sought after and worth a lot of money)

Refer to Pic. 4-6 and read how the process begins with codes engraved onto the copper plates.
