Research:  I found reference that this song was performed by "Tommy Riggs and his imaginary Betty Lou"  (Tommy Riggs has a baritone voice but could also talk/sing like a 7-year old girl - Betty Lou).  

The little black and white cat in the cover art seems to possibly be a cameo of Felix the Cat - a popular little cartoon critter than showed up in silent films of the time.
