Ron Cey #3 1982 Fleer stamp

#241. THE NAMED PLAYERS ONLY. From a set of 242 numbered stamps. Size is 1-13/16" x 2-1/2". Originally issued in packs in strips. Most have perforations on each side.

There are several multiple player stamps, including one with Red Sox greats Carl Yastrzemski and Ted Williams. Also "young phenom" Fernando Valenzuela is joined by HOF Braves pitcher Warren Spahn.

Sometimes these are confused with the 1983 Fleer set which has smaller unnumbered stamps.
Collectors who have relied on the older Beckett guides for checklist information were confronted with #'s which represented the strip or sheet #'s assigned by Beckett. Additionally, there is a 1983 Fleer sticker set (blue bordered) that came in strips and were also originally checklisted in the alphabetical guides by the assigned strip #'s rather than actual #'s.
