Quality Control

Comic books are often returned from CGC with damages or minor defects. Marvel Archive inspects each slab upon return for issues that would not be acceptable. These are then returned to be fixed at CGC with a turn around ranging from a few weeks to two months. While this is done to ensure the best quality, slabs are received; there may be minor insignificant or acceptable differences within slabs. This is important to note and consider that CGC slabs on this store have a high standard of quality control.  

White Pages

Slabs from CGC list the color of pages inside the book under the assigned grade. This is an important characteristic that is often overlooked when considering vintage comics. Most of the comics listed within this store contain comics with a page color consistently higher than the average for the grade assigned. This is at least partially attributed to care given to books from the original owner and indicates a higher level of health and longevity for the comics.

Newsstand

Newsstand comics refer to a limited printing of usually modern age comics that were not directly sent to comic stores and are displayed with a bar code, rather than seeing direct edition or Marvel logo. They are limited and more difficult to find in higher grades as a result of their dispersal.
