Original Card Ticket for End of an Era Last Night of the Old Cavern,

Liverpool`s  World Famous Club,

Sunday May 27th 1973 Ticket £1.25,Ticket No 1327 stamped in ink to reverse,

With little or no thought to the Historical significance of the Cavern it was later demolished and filled in.

A new Cavern now stands on the site in Mathew St with the entrance in a slightly different location incorporating some of the old bricks,

This as the ticket states was "One last attempt to bring this famous roof down",

Because of the size of these tickets 6" x 4 1/2" most you see have a vertical fold from the attendee putting in his pocket

this one has no such fold so probably was put in a handbag.
