Now these have got an unusual colour.  I am told that this blue is used by Northern Ireland Law Enforcement.

I have recently been told by a reliable source that the blue 840s are also used for prisoner transfer to and from Court.  In Northern Ireland they do not use private companies like Serco . They like their prisoners to keep them company!

These little beauties weigh just under 400 grams, and are backloading and double locking (using the pin on one of the two keys provided).  An excellent handcuff, already recognised as meeting all the standards required by all the other Police Forces in the UK.
