Kenwood Repeater Rack Mount Modification Kit: - Two TKR or NXR Series Repeaters In One Space!     Double your repeater count in the same rack space!

M-F 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific Time (west coast)

Kenwood wants you to give up 2U of rack space to mount just one TKR-751 or TKR-851 analog repeater (or NXR-710 / NXR-810 digital repeater). Mix & match; the Kenwood panel is the same for all 4 of those radios; VHF/ UHF TKR and NXR in any combination.

This listing is for a conversion kit (just a rack panel) that allows mounting two repeater modules in your existing stock factory rack mount that in stock form only allows for a single repeater. This is just the 2U panel, no tray, no radios, no mounting. You reuse all of your hardware (bolts, nuts, handles, etc.) to replace your single panel with our dual panel which mounts to the stock Kenwood tray.

The design is a very special one to accurately assemble two repeater modules into one shelf (naturally you can't pack the duplexer or power supply in there then... we bet you knew that!) but for sites that have master receive antennas, transmitter combiners and centralized power supplies this kit allows twice as many repeaters in the same rack space! You can pack them in tight and save on the rack space rent in those expensive hilltop rental sites.... a space-saving repeater owners dream come true!

We provide a laser-CNC-cut front cover plate with the cutouts for all the buttons, speaker audio and mounting holes. All required holes around the buttons are pre-drilled, tapped and ready to go.

NEW FEATURE AVAILABLE: The stock Kenwood top cover has a service access hole for only the RIGHT hand repeater module - We are now set up to cut a matching hole in your top cover to allow equal access to the new (second) repeater module on the LEFT side - contact us!

See the photo showing one original Kenwood repeater unit above two of these dual repeater setups - this is a real 5-channel system in active service. Our customer said the conversion was "a piece of cake" and "Why couldn't Kenwood have done that?"

  • Silly disclaimers we have to say: Any radios, tuners, accessories, etc. shown are not included in this auction.  We can't afford to have a sample of every radio ever made sitting around here just for photos so many of our images are Photoshopped. Some of them aren't even of the right  radio; in some cases we put a photo of a similar radio there just to give you an idea of what our rack panel will look like when you mount your radio into it.
