A fabulously early and beautifully designed French Aubusson Tapestry dating from the 17th century. This hanging is simply remarkable. It's backed in a plain linen perhaps of a later period. The photographs of this textile speak for themselves! ~
MEASUREMENTS : This textile measures approx. 93 inches by 15 inches ( the end without the blue trim measures 14.5 inches wide)
CONDITION : This panel is in as found, not freshly laundered condition with storage dust. The blue trim along the top stops near the side. There is a spot on the left side edge that has split ( about one inch, not noticeable). It is in remarkable condition for it's age, a one of a kind!
