You are looking at a CD with 225 images of various models of Mack Fire Apparatus. These were all posed photos, with no people in the picture, other than an occasional driver behind the wheel. The rigs were posed to obtain strong, even light and the best background available. All photos were shot with quality Canon or Nikon SLR equipment through a normal lens. A very few rigs were shot in a bright overcast, while the great majority were taken in bright sunlight. All except four photos were taken by me, Bill Hattersley. The four rigs from Winnipeg were shot by Martin MacKinnon. Each rig is identified by Dep't, rig #, year, make, bodybuilder and capacities.

I travelled from my home near Seattle, Wa to take the photos. Images were shot in the following states: Washington-over 100, Idaho-5, Montana-11, Oregon-20, Utah-15, Arizona-6 Northern and Central California-13, Southern California-29, and Canada-16. For several years in the early 1970's, I lived in Lacey, Washington, and I had many chances to appreciate their Mack C and Mack CF's screaming by on fire calls
