A superb 1/72 diecast French made Morane-Saulnier MS.406 WWII fighter operated by the Finnish Air Force, aircraft designation MS-311.

Wikipedia says: The MS.406 had a parallel career in Finland. In February 1940, the first 30 French fighters were allocated to LeLv 28, commanded by Major Jusu. These aircraft received the Finnish designations MS-301 to MS-330. They were used in combat during the Winter War, against the USSR and carried out 259 operational sorties and shot down 16 Soviet aircraft.

It is from a De Agostini series of World War 2 fighters. The models & stands are the same as those released under the IXO brand some years ago, so I'm pretty sure that this series have been made by IXO for De Agostini.

The plane predominantly made from metal & has many small detail accessories, & inter-changeable undercarriage parts.

The model measures just under 4 1/2" (110mm) in length & has a wingspan of just over 5 1/2" (142mm).

It is presented in a carded blister pack, & is new, mint & boxed.
