Harajuku, the original scenery of teenage eyes
Harajuku is still attracting the world's attention as a city at the forefront of youth culture.
Its roots date back to the 70's. Non Nakamura, a stylist who was an assistant to Yasuko Takahashi, who was a pioneer of Japanese stylists in the 1970s and is also famous as "Yakko of Omotesando," now has a sophisticated and free atmosphere in Harajuku in the 1970s.
From the desire to tell, I called out to my friend's photographers and gathered snapshots of 70's everyday wear in Harajuku. The black-and-white photographs received from the nine photographers reflect the undecorated appearance of the people who are now big names, the customs of the time, and the nostalgic scenery of the city.
In sympathy with Mr. Non Nakamura's desire to breathe the breath of the 70's into this closed Japan, the photographs provided by nine photographers who are now called masters are not limited to those who were OBs in the 70's.
