*** THIS IS FOR THE CUSTOM HARNESS ONLY ***
Polaris LED headlight kit 2884859 is NOT included with this and must be purchased separately

Part number 2884859 is a kit Polaris now sells that comes with a left and right LED headlight and an LED pod light (along with some mounting hardware and adapters). If you use the adapters that come in the kit, the halo rings (aka running lights, aka front position lights, aka DRL lights) will NOT operate when the ATV is running and the light switch is in the OFF position (which is the entire point of the halo rings). This custom harness allows the halo lights to be on at all times - even when the headlights are off. The harness is made from the same components that Polaris uses in their factory harness and comes with instructions.

Installation is completely plug and play with the factory harness and does not require cutting of any wires. It should take 1 hour or less to install. It is designed, manufactured and tested ENTIRELY IN THE USA.

Background:
Some of the newer Polaris Sportsman models come with LED headlights and an LED pod light for the first time. For people who have one that did not come with them, Polaris sells a kit (part number 2884859) that includes two LED headlights and an LED pod light. These headlights and pod light will fit their latest Sportsman body style, which means most 2017+ Sportsman 850 and 1000 models along with most 2021+ Sportsman 450 and 570 models. They have made it confusing because there are a couple different part numbers that are very similar, but are wired differently internally.
Polaris states this kit will only work on some 2021+ Sportsman 450 and 570 models. I can guarantee it will also work on 2017+ Sportsman 850 and 1000 models (as long as it is NOT a Touring model or High Lifter model). So if you have a 2021 or newer Sportsman 450 or 570 (non-X2 and non-Touring model) or a 2017 or newer Sportsman 850 or 1000 model (non-Touring and non-High Lifter) you should be able to upgrade to their new LED headlights. But if you want them to work best, you will need my custom harness. If this is all confusing to you, feel free to email me with any questions.

These new LED headlights are very cool and MUCH brighter than the Polaris non-LED headlights. The old style headlights just contain one incandescent (non-LED) bulb. The new LED headlights contain a halo ring, low beam bulb and high beam bulb - all LEDs. The new LED pod light contains a halo ring and three high beam LED bulbs - all LEDs. They are much brighter than the traditional headlights, draw less power and should never burn out.

My harness will convert your 2-wire plugs on your ATV to the new plugs required for the LED headlights and handlebar pod light. You do NOT need to cut or tap into any wires on your factory harness. It does need to use one of the two orange accessory wires that are on your ATV near the battery.
Disclaimer: I will NOT be held responsible for any damage done to your ATV from installation. If you are unsure what you are doing, please have your dealer or another professional install it.

With this harness the halo ring (on both the headlights and handlebar pod light) will be ON when the ATV is running and the lights are off.
When the light switch is on LO, the halo rings will be on along with the low and high beam LEDs in the headlights.
When the light switch is on HI, the halo rings will be on along with the low and high beam LEDs in the headlights along with the high beam LEDs in the handlebar pod light.

UPDATE: If you want the ability to be able to turn off your halo lights and go into "stealth mode" - see my other listing for the Stealth Mode Switch Kit

NOTE: This listing DOES NOT include the headlights. It is only for the harness that is needed to connect the new headlights and pod light. It will not work with the original, non-LED headlights and will only work with the new LED ones (part 2884859)

What's the difference between these new Polaris LED headlights vs installing aftermarket LED bulbs in the existing headlights?
LED bulbs are bright, but they do not project outwards. If you put them in and look at them head on, they will be very bright. But if you are riding your ATV at night with them, they do not illuminate very much in front of you because they do not project outward. Do a Google search and read people's reviews on them.
Also, the new Polaris headlights have a halo feature along with low and high beam settings. Aftermarket LED bulbs do not have halo and just have one setting.

This harness will ONLY work with the following Sportsman models:
2017+ Sportsman 850 (non-Touring, non-High Lifter)
2017+ Sportsman 1000 (non-Touring, non-High Lifter)
2021+ Sportsman 450
2021+ Sportsman 570 (non-Touring, non-X2)

All other Sportsman models and years it will NOT work with. If you have any questions, please email me.
It will not work with any RZR, General, Ace, Scramble or other UTV or side by side models

Included:
(1) custom harness
(10) zip ties to secure harness and wires during installation
(1) connector cap
(1) Printed step by step instructions with color photos

NOTE: Polaris does offer LED headlights that allow the low beam and high beam LEDs on them to be operated independently (the ones that come in kit 2884859 can not be). These headlights do not come in a kit and must be purchased individually. They are approx double the price of the 2884859 kit. You will also need a different harness from me if you are getting these as our harness for kit 2884859 will not work properly with these
