This is a vintage bisque figurine or doll. It has hand painted features and is 6.5" in height. It is a young boy with oversized askew cap. His right hand has a hole ... probably holding a dog leash. I do not have the dog. I think this was a character from newspaper comic strips of the 1930s. He is back marked Japan. There is a small chip or blow-out on cap bill .... it has some paint over chip, so probably a factory error. Figure needs some cleaning but is otherwise in good used condition. There are no off odors.
