Go ahead - make some noise!
Our premium Soundproof Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV) acts as a reflective soundproofing barrier that deadens sound waves, stifles vibrations, and muffles acoustics wherever it is installed. Our soundproof vinyl is an excellent barrier to reduce transmission of sound in the space where it is installed and effectively reduces undesired noise. Great to use in music studios, underneath floors, in or against walls, in basements, apartments, and any other place noise reduction is needed. MLV acts as a reflective barrier and reduces sound from leaving the confines of a space. When sound waves make contact with a surface, their energy causes vibration. Due to MLV?s quality of flexibility, it makes an excellent barrier from vibrations, thus preventing the transmission of sound.

An easy to install, multipurpose solution for sound reduction
Installation of MLV is straightforward and hassle-free. For optimal performance in wall installations, place MLV against the studs, then place drywall over it. It is suggested that MLV be hung in a horizontal manner in order to minimize the number of seams. This method allows for easy caulking or taping per section. Alternatively, MLV can be placed over existing drywall. Our MLV is easy to cut with any standard utility knife, and can be used underneath flooring, around pipes, inside or against walls, and other places where soundproofing is desired.

A soundproof barrier that?s best in class
What is an STC rating? Sound Transmission Class (or STC) is a test rating of just how well a partition reduces sound. STC is the most common sound reduction measurement which is widely used to rate interior and exterior walls, ceilings, floors, doors, and windows. The STC rating figure reflects the decibel reduction in noise that a barrier can provide.
