This is an NOS intake manifold bellcrank to transmission control shaft linkage accelerator rod with both attaching nuts, Ford part # B8A 9784-A.  This accelerator rod adjusts from 4.25" to 5.25."  It was used on the following Fords and Thunderbirds which have a V8 engine and an automatic transmission:
