What are stabilized lichens and How are they maintained ?
(The moss) Lichens are organisms composed ofa cross between a fungus and an alga and grow mainly in the northern areas near the Arctic Circle, where the air is extremely pure.
Therefore, in order to be used for decorative purposes, they go through a conservation process that slows down their evolution, acquiring the name of stabilized moss lichens.
The stabilization process is 100% natural and ensures the maintenance of the texture and color of plant organisms for a period of up to 10 years.
Stabilized lichens do not require special care such as direct natural light,watering or pruning.
They are non-toxic and do not remove carbon dioxide.
They also do not attract or host insects.
They have antistatic properties which means they do not collect dust.
It is recommended to keep them in spaces with humidity between 40% -60% to keep their elasticity and texture.
