Very scarce treaty of 1633 of the physician from Bologna Fabrizio Bartoletti (1576-1630).
Bartoletti was a supporter of the new clinical method which compared the examination of patient with anatomopathological dissection.
this is his main work, a treaty of breathing pathology, unsurpassed for more than 200 years. Bartoletti was the first one to distinguish breathing alterations in organic and functional and to discover lactosium "Manna seu nitrum seri lactis" (p. 400).
