Vintage estate earrings ear clips. 18k gold, kunzite, diamonds.  Made circa late 1950 to 1960's, in the USA. See backstory.

Measurements: Weight is 21.3 grams. Length is 1 1/8 inch (3cm). 34.30ct kunzite.  1.36ct diamonds.

Description : Rectangular, very large, pink cushion-cut kunzites form the centerpiece and dominant feature of these earrings / clips. Gently faceted on top and with rounded sides, giving a full and voluptious impression. Mounted in an extraordinary yellow gold design, with diamond-set flowers at the cardinal points and diamonds on each diagonal. Diamonds are connected via gold links, giving the appearance from the side, that the earrings were set in a beautiful bracelet. This mount holds the gems up and allows light to enter and reflect from the kunzite from every angle and yet holds them firmly in place.  Hinged clips and posts are easy to insert and comfortable to wear.

Large and not to be missed. A great statement and fabulous color. Great workmanship, fantastic look and very special design. These earrings are definitely a cut above and will dress up any outfit. 

Marks and Metal: No marks. Gold was acid tested to ensure metal purity. See backstory.

Backstory: After I bought these earrings, the seller told me that the earrings were actually made by Tiffany & Co and that when they had some work done on them (possibly to change the findings), the Tiffany marks were removed. This story is anecdotal and without going through the Tiffany archives, we have no way of verifying it. Just a nice story, but based on the quality of the earrings, quite believable.
