Our small Octavian Bust Sculpture depicts young Augustus Caesar as young adult.
A miniature portrait bust made of marble of one of the most famous Roman Emperors.
Also available set on a large base.
Augustus Caesar was the first emperor of the Roman Empire, which he ruled alone from 27 BC until his death in AD 14. Born Gaius Octavius Thurinus, he was adopted by his great-uncle Gaius Julius Caesar in 44 BC via his last will and testament. Upon his adoption he also was officially named Gaius Julius Caesar.
Due to his various names during his rule, he is usually called Octavius when referring to historical events between 63 and 44 BC, Octavian when referring to historical events between 44 and 27 BC, and Augustus when referring to events after 27 BC.
