Bought a Hickok Military series TV-10 tube tester on Ebay? Now what? It is most likely out of calibration like 99% of them being used. Our Company CTech Electronics will calibrate your tester according to Hickok standards, with (2) calibration tubes as a reference. The service assumes a working unit. The calibration consists of:
  1. Check operation of all switches and check tube sockets, clean and tighten as required
  2. Check meter operation for sticking, zero set and full scale sensitivity. Adjust as required.
  3. Replace all Electrolytic capacitors (as required at extra cost).
  4. Check all other capacitors and replace as required
  5. Check  fuse lamps
  6. Check neon bulbs and operation of short detection circuitry
  7. Check the 5Y3GT and #83 tubes
  8. Calibrate all voltages according to Military factory calibration procedures using a high accuracy voltmeter with proper impedance
  9. Make All POT adjustments
  10. Lightly clean front  panel  and case
  11. Check the unit with a variety of good and bad power and small tubes
  12. Provide a checklist and instructions on how to use the newly calbrated shunt dial.
  13. Your unit will operate as accurately as it possibly can.

The calibration cost does not include the cost of any required parts replacement/labor, or labor needed to unsolder and resolder the halves of the shunt/english control to put the unit back into alignment. There is generally a $45.00 additional charge for this service. You will be notified if this is the case There will be an additional charge if parts need to  be replaced. Most times this is not required to get the unit to calibrate, if the unit is in working condition. 

Typical turn around is generally 5-7 working days. The shipping calculator is a place holder on return shipping.  We will determine shipping when the unit is done.

In the event your unit can't be calibrated, or you decide you don't want to do it because of parts needed, you only pay a 90.00 bench fee and return shipping, and the balance of your payment will be refunded

Please double box your tester and ship fully insured with tracking. If you have just purchased one off Ebay, have it shipped directly to us first, to save shipping charges. Your box will be used for return shipping. If your box is damaged, there will be a nominal charge fo packing and materials. Please include contact information in you package, as well as a description of what you think is wrong with your tester if other than calibration issues.
