Description



This is a hand cast 925 sterling silver pill box in the shape of a hunting horn hand on a short length of silver chain.  It is not marked; tests confirm that it is a minimum of 830 silver. We estimate that it was made in the Indo-Persian region towards the end of the 20th century.  
 
Its hinged, snap shut lid is at the widest end of the horn.  It has a collar of black enamel at this end. The body oof the box is arced and tapers down to a point that replicates an ox’s horn. One side is impressed with a hunter on horseback carrying a spear; the other has a fleeing dear.  It can be worn as a pendant with the large oval jump ring being thread on to a chain.
 
It is in excellent pre-owned condition with no damage or faults to report. The photos form part of the condition report and description.

Do you combine postage?

No problem! Collection of items from our location in Hawthorn East 3123(Melbourne) is available. This is by appointment only on Tuesdays & Thursdays between 9-2pm, please contact us to arrange a time. Cash or VISA/MC only on pick up.
