Our Full / Pure Copper network ethernet cables provide the ideal performance enhancement over cat5 / cat6 and CCA (Cheaper versions) network cables, When searching CAT5 or CAT6 cables on ebay you'll notice network leads at very low prices, Most of the time these low value cables are CCA (copper clad aluminium or CCS Copper Clad Steel) network cables (Although the description doesn’t always state it). The problem with CCA leads is you just don't know what percentage of copper has been used within the cable construction, CCA / CCS cables can be constructed with as little as 10% copper with the other materials being Steel or aluminium, Copper is a better conductor than steel and aluminium and a cable constructed from all copper will provide faster speeds and also can help protect the cable from corrosion (which is an important factor when installing within walls), Whilst we have no problem with CCA cables, depending on the quality they generally achieve good speeds but if you require your network to be running at the fastest speeds possible then look at full copper fully certified CAT6 leads.

Category 6 Ethernet cable, commonly referred to as Cat6, is a cable standard for 10 Gigabit Ethernet. The cable standard provides performance of up to 600MHz and is suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX (Fast Ethernet), 1000BASE-T / 1000BASE-TX (Gigabit Ethernet) and 10GBASE-T (10 Gigabit Ethernet). It is backwards compatible with previous standards such as Cat6, Cat5e and Cat5.
