Up for sale is a first edition copy of "Claudius The God and His Wife Messalina" by Robert Graves, author of "I, Claudius".

The dust jacket is in fair condition with noticeable tearing, chipping, and scuffing present on the outside while the flaps are in decent condition with tearing to the edges. There is sun fading to the spine of the jacket. The front of the jacket appears to be detached from the rest of the jacket, but the jacket is in a protective covering. 

The book's cover boards and spine are in good condition with minor wear to the edges. There is pencil writing at the corner of the ffep showing a previous selling price. Moderate foxing is present to the pastedown pages and endpapers with yellowing to the perimeters of the rest of the pages. There is also minor foxing to the "Family of Herods" foldout page. 

The book has two foldout pages. One features a family tree of the Herods while the other features a family tree of Julius Caesar.
